Are all Portrait Platters the same?

There are many other companies out there selling a similar product and I feel that we all have
our place in the market. When it comes to selling Portrait Platters, I have seen that they are
not all made the same. Here are some things about my platters I would like you to know...

Everything is 100% hand painted! All from my original artwork. You will even get a
digital proof of your plate design to review before I paint your order. I do proofs so that
we both feel confident about how the end design will look. I want to be sure you get
what you want when you order and do not get an unhappy surprise when your platter
arrives.

I do not use decals on my platters. Decals are great when you want it quick and
inexpensive, but they do not have the durability or functionality that hand painting offers.
Decals can eventually scratch or come off the platter and are not safe to use with food.

I do not use a ceramic pencil to do black outlining and lettering. Ceramic pencils
may be quicker and easier to use for outlining, but it does not look as professional as
painting does. It may take me longer to paint your platter, but I choose quality.

All plates and platters are fully functional! Hand painting, glazing and kiln firing
makes all my plates and platters safe to use for food and not just to display. They are
dishwasher safe, however I do recommend hand washing.

I will work with you one-on-one to discuss and create the design. You will only
deal with me, the artist that paints your platter. I am here full time, this is not a hobby
that I do on nights and weekends, it is a FULL time job. I am always happy to assist
you and answer your questions. It is important to me that you feel like I am available to
assist you. Even though ordering online may seem impersonal, you are not just dealing
with a computer, you are dealing with a real person!

With that said....My platters may at times take a little longer to receive than other company's,
but I do not employ other artists to do my painting and naturally sometimes I do get very busy.
I work hard everyday to get orders out quickly but without compromising on quality. Every
order is important, no matter how busy I get, and I will spend the time to paint every order to
best of my ability. I always give you a shipping time so you know when to expect your order
and sometimes I am even able to ship early. If I can get something done quickly for you
because you have a deadline, I will be happy to. I have been around since 2003 and it is still
